Acoustic Friday: Words by Bee Gees

“You think that I don't even mean a single word I say. It's only words, and words are all I have to take your heart away”
I grew up humming their songs. The melody and the lyrics are something that you cannot easily erase from your memory. They will go on, serenading you ‘till you doze off.

For me, nothing can equal the music legacy they have created.
“The Bee Gees were a singing trio of brothers — Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The multiple award-winning group was successful for most of its forty years of recording music, but it had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a harmonic "soft rock" act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as the foremost stars of the disco music era in the late 1970s.” (Wikipedia)
Here’s one of my favorites from one of their last concerts in the 90’s:

Smile an everlasting smile,
A smile could bring you near to me
Don't ever let me find you gone
'Cause that would bring a tear to me

This world has lost it's glory,
Let's start a brand new story now, my love
Right now there'll be no other time
And I can show you how, my love

Talk in everlasting words
And dedicate them all to me
And I will give you all my life
I'm here if you should call to me

You think that I don't even mean
A single word I say
It's only words, and words are all I have
To take your heart away
