Oprah is a very admirable person. She’s classic example of a rugs-to-riches story. From a bad childhood, she rose to become one of the influential women in modern history.

I chose her words above as a personal motto not only because of her exemplary life, but because it captures exactly what I have always believed.

‘Now’ has always been the perfect time for me. Some might call that opportunism, to me it is simply being able to seize an opportunity and taking responsibility for it. The outcome of this action may not be pleasant at times, but they do teach us first-hand valuable lessons in life. That is priceless.

I have always wanted to make a difference wherever I am and whenever an opportunity calls for it. However, there are many instances, I must admit, I have done the contrary and had to suffer bitter consequences. Nonetheless, those failings do not deter me from doing what is, I thought and believed, to be right at any given time.

Incidentally, I just joined an online game that triggered me to rethink about my life’s motto, philosophy or however you want to call it. The game: Operation Immortality: Leave your mark.
