When you take life in a holistic perspective, you will easily find out that a healthy lifestyle is imperative. What does this means?

It means nurturing each of these:

Our mind. Continuing education is necessary for young professionals. You need not enroll on a MBA program or any formal education to do this. Books, and now the internet, are great resource to help you maintain a sharp and healthy mind. The demand on our time from work and relationships can, more often, rob us of those important time to exercise our mind through reading and learning. Get out of this trap. Develop a habit of spending time on reading good books.

Our body. Keeping tabs of what we eat, regular exercise, and annual medical check-up to are but simple, yet more often neglected, activities that we should perform regularly. This also includes keeping our sexual life in check ( you might want to read more about Male Enhancement Review), and staying away from vices, such excessive use of alcohol and smoking (on the side, I am darn glad that President Obama finally signed the bill that strictly regulates cigarette makers –about time!).

Our soul. Regardless on how you view religion or the pursuit of spirituality (or enlightenment), there is more in this life, in this body. We are also spiritual beings, thus it is but natural, as history speaks, that we seek something that is higher than we are. Set goals and time for this pursuit. The book written by Bolman and Deal entitled “Leading with Soul” is a good starting point for busy professionals like us.

A healthy lifestyle is an asset that pays big. Do I have to stress more on these? You know the drill; you simply have to do it.
