Creative Pictures Easy and Free

I bought a new Cannon Digital camera, at the same time I am trying to learn photoshop. Taking good pictures is one thing, but putting a little creativity on them is difficult, that is, if you are like me. You can probably share with my frustrations here.

You spend countless clicks on the shutter; pick what you like, do a little cropping and adjustment of colors and hues, and still you feel as though the picture is still bare. It needed something. More than a frame, a sprinkle of creativity, if you will.
