The Lost Art of Face-to-Face Meetings and British Airways Business Opportunity Grants
There was the telex, then the telefax, and then teleconferencing. Then videophone and the internet came. Thus, meetings these days between people coming from the opposite side of the world have been made more convenient, easier, and faster. Business transactions became virtually seamless. Face-to-face or F2F meetings seem to have been lost in the transition. Does it mean that it is no longer necessary? Or because we reasoned that is costly and time-consuming? Either way, we seemed to have forgotten that the human touch is irreplaceable, especially in forging business partnerships.
Understandably, that when the global financial pandemonium hit us, many businesses started belt-tightening in their business expenditures. Travel expenses were among the priorities needing a huge cut. The result, we have also seen many airlines losing valued business travelers.
British Airways on the other hand is taking the initiative to encourage businesses to once again consider the value of f2f meetings and how greatly increase the chances of building better business relationships. Thus, in line with this, they are taking a bold initiative of offering Business Opportunity Grants. This means, “British Airways is giving 100 companies a year of Business Class travel and a suite of valuable business services to help increase their face-to-face meetings and exponentially grow their businesses.” How does that sound?
What does an entrepreneur like you or a small business owner need to do to avail of the grant? It’s simple, actually. All you have to do is go here and apply on before the 30th of September 2009. Lovely, right? Now, go there right now will ya.
